5-Star Packing Clay is a natural occuring clay mineral product supplied as red/brown clay particles, composed of a proprietary blend of non-hazardous materials and up to 40% crystalline silica (quartz). Classified as “DANGER” under OSHA HCS, it may cause respiratory irritation, may cause cancer (inhalation) and causes damage to organs (lungs) through prolonged or repeated exposure (inhalation), particularly from dust. Recommended controls include avoiding breathing dust, using ventilation and NIOSH-approved dust respirators if Permissible Exposure Limits are exceeded. The product is non-flammable and non-hazardous for air, sea and road freight and can be disposed of in an approved disposal facility in accordance with applicable regulations.
