HydraFiber wood fiber blends are used to grow mums in a variety of greenhouse and outdoor production settings across the Mid-Atlantic, Central US, Southern US and Southwestern US. Growers use mixes such as 70% peat: 30% HydraFiber, 65% coir: 35% HydraFiber and 55% coir: 45% HydraFiber for both direct stick and finished production. Mums can successfully be produced in a range of container sizes and HydraFiber inclusion rates, with flower finished time in the same sales window as control mixes. Using HydraFiber allows growers to eliminate Perlite and significantly reduce Peat and Coir in their substrates.
