Profile is an engineered porous ceramic soil amendment made from minerals primarily composed of silica and illite clay. Kiln firing creates a stable, dust-free material with uniform particle size and high cation exchange capacity. Comparative testing versus zeolite, diatomaceous earth, and kiln fired shales or granite shows that Profile combines high porosity, high CEC and high stability. USGA® physical analyses indicate that Profile can increase both drainage and water holding in sand mixes, while meeting USGA® particle size distribution recommendations for a greensmix.
