Oak Hill Country Club Case Study

Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course used Profile® Porous Ceramic (PPC) Greens Grade™ in a redesigned greens mix to recapture Donald Ross-inspired playability while modernizing performance. Working with Profile Golf™, the team targeted firm, fast greens with improved water-holding capacity and accelerated drainage. The inorganic soil amendment blended into the new mix, supporting deeper rooting, increased drainage, nutrient retention and better water management. Percolation rates jumped from 6–8 inches per hour to 45 inches per hour, and the first season after reopening delivered the most rounds the club had ever seen, with greens expected to perform for decades.
